A Unique Afternoon Tea Experience
offered by food Blogger and Round Top Local, Sherry Michie of Rosemary and the Goat

Imagine a beautiful quiet afternoon enjoying a wonderful custom tea party in the quaint, but sophisticated Round Top, Texas.  In the lovely home of Sherry Michie your bounty awaits!  Served on the finest china with elegant silverware and "old meets new" tablescapes, Sherry offers the most delicious of treats, custom made in her own kitchen and presented with the elegance of a 5-star restaurant.

Start with a welcome aperitif - perhaps a French 75 or Mimosa - served with a tempting amuse bouche as you mix and mingle with your guests.  Then in the purest afternoon tea fashion, you take your seat at Sherry's beautiful table set with vintage decor, floral arrangements, and pastel-colored linens, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, where delicious bites are served on three-tiered towers.  Here you will sample:

  • A variety of teas, including classic options like Earl Grey or Darjeeling served in elegant teapots
  • Delicate finger sandwiches with classic fillings such as cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg salad
  • Freshly baked scones, served warm with clotted cream and a variety of homemade jams
  • A selection of sweet treats, including mini tarts, éclairs, pots de creme, meringue bombs

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to unwind, Round Top Tea Time offers a tranquil retreat where you and your guests can savor the simple pleasures of life. Contact us for an unforgettable afternoon tea experience, where every detail is crafted with care and every moment is meant to be cherished.

A little bit about me...

George and I have been married for 55 years and have three children and six grandsons who all love good food and cooking.   I attended culinary school in my 40’s and realized at that time that I wanted to cater. For over 20 years, I had my own catering company.  I loved seeing people enjoy my food and strived to add new things to my menus.

I started my blog, www.rosemaryandthegoat.com, because I wanted to share my love for cooking.  I like to try new and adventurous things, but tea parties have always been one of my favorite parties. I've had Afternoon Tea experiences from Victoria to Quebec City, New York, to Houston ..... and a lot of places in between.

The name - Rosemary and the Goat - now where did that name come from?  Well, a friend once gave me the recipe for the easiest appetizer EVER. You simply infuse some olive oil with fresh rosemary and roll the goat cheese in some additional fresh rosemary and then pour the rosemary oil over the cheese and serve with some fresh baguette slices — and voila!  ROSEMARY AND THE GOAT — that recipe is under cold appetizers on my blog, click here to see.

I have lived in the beautiful state of Texas for the last 34 years and Round Top, Texas for the last four years.  When traveling anywhere in the world I love taking cooking classes. I've taken classes in France, Italy, Napa, Charleston, and New Orleans, and I can’t wait for my next culinary experience. We also love taking walking food tours when visiting a city known for its food.
