A little bit about me...
George and I have been married for 55 years and have three children and six grandsons who all love good food and cooking. I attended culinary school in my 40’s and realized at that time that I wanted to cater. For over 20 years, I had my own catering company. I loved seeing people enjoy my food and strived to add new things to my menus.
I started my blog, www.rosemaryandthegoat.com, because I wanted to share my love for cooking. I like to try new and adventurous things, but tea parties have always been one of my favorite parties. I've had Afternoon Tea experiences from Victoria to Quebec City, New York, to Houston ..... and a lot of places in between.
The name - Rosemary and the Goat - now where did that name come from? Well, a friend once gave me the recipe for the easiest appetizer EVER. You simply infuse some olive oil with fresh rosemary and roll the goat cheese in some additional fresh rosemary and then pour the rosemary oil over the cheese and serve with some fresh baguette slices — and voila! ROSEMARY AND THE GOAT — that recipe is under cold appetizers on my blog, click here to see.
I have lived in the beautiful state of Texas for the last 34 years and Round Top, Texas for the last four years. When traveling anywhere in the world I love taking cooking classes. I've taken classes in France, Italy, Napa, Charleston, and New Orleans, and I can’t wait for my next culinary experience. We also love taking walking food tours when visiting a city known for its food.
